Hearty Fall Beef Stew

On Fall days like these we tend to run to comfort food , Home Style Foods that add a sense of contentment. Here is a Hearty Beef Stew that will warm and wrap your family in comfort.


Put It Together!!

In a pot on Med Heat add Butter or vegetable oil, add your stew meatand brown off till done. Then add Garlic, Salt or Sea Salt, pepper and Ginger. Add Your diced Onions, Vegetables and 1 packet of Gravy Mix per Directions, add additional 1 1/2 cups of water cover and simmer on Med Heat for about 20 minutes.
Then add your 2nd packet of Gravy Mix per directions cover and simmer this time for about 15 minutes on Med Heat. Then add your 3rd Gravy Packet per directions and simmer for 5 minutes on med Heat.
Add Biscuits to this meal, or Bread a great compliment to your Fall Beef Stew.
This will warm & comfort your family in those cold fall days. This serves 5, costs a little under $15.00 and takes about 45 minutes to cook.

Ingredients Needed to make this warm comforting meal

1 lb of Beef Stew Meat,Cut down in 1/2 inch cubes, you can get this at your local grocery store packaged and cubed
1 Cup of Frozen Mixed Vegetables
7 Medium sized Potatoes Peeled cut into 1/2 inch cubes
1/2 of Cup Diced Onions
1/2 cup of Frozen Spinach
1/2 Cup of Frozen Peas
1/2 cup of chopped Cabbage
Tsp of Sea Salt or Regular Salt
Tsp of Black Pepper
Tsp of Ground Ginger
Tsp of Garlic
3 packages of of Brown Gravy Mix
5 Tbs of Butter or vegetable oil
1 pot.
1 1/2 cup of water
1 cutting Board to cut your meat in 1/2 inch chunks

Cheesy Hash Brown Kielbasa Bake

This will fed a family of 5 the entire cost of the meal cost about $10- $12.
This is what you will need:
1 Bag of Ore Ida Shredded Hash Browns
1 Pkg of Polish Sausage kielbasa
1 Bag of Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup of frozen spinach
1/4 cup of diced onions
5 Tbs of butter
2 tbs of evaporated milk or milk
1 Pinch of salt or sea salt
1/4 Tsp of black pepper
1 Lg bowl
1 9x13 inch baking pan
Thaw hash browns and spinach about half hour. In a lg bowl add kielbasa, dice onions, hash browns, spinach salt, pepper and 3/4 bag of cheddar cheese mix well. In a 9x13 baking pan coat the bottom with 2 tbs of melted butter. Add your mix and spread evenly in the pan add the additional cheddar cheese to the top,then add 3 tbs of butter across the top. Drizzle 2 tbs of of evaporated milk across the top, bake in the oven at 375 degrees for about 30-45 minutes.

This is a good coffee clutch treat, or a good breakfast snack or even dessert. This is a great entertainer with friends. Easy to make and tasty to eat and oh the health benefits can't be beat.

Lets Put It Together!

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup Butter or margarine
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 4 Bananas diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch Salt

Now lets mix and bake it!!
In a bowl combine butter, sugar, banana's, baking soda, and salt. Then add in cinnamon and eggs mix well. Should resemble like a cake batter. You can also be creative and add nuts. Combine all your ingredients that you would like to infuse. Then add to a bread pan and bake, in the oven at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes to 1 hour until done. Be creative with this recipe you can add nuts.
This is a fun an tasty treat and great source of potassium. You can you can add a scope of vanilla ice cream to this bread and drizzle caramel to the top to make it an Ala mode. That's a real healthy treat for everyone and very enjoyable.

Fresh Salsa & Corn Tortilla Chips!

Salsa & Homemade Chips

It's Friday nite and you have guests coming and you want to make a fresh quick snack for your guests. You will make a splash with this fun unique snack, feeds about 4-5. This snack is fast and easy to make. Total prep time 30 minutes.

Lets Put It Together!

  • 6 Roma Tomato
  • 1 Med Sweet Onion
  • 6 Jalapeno Peppers
  • 2Tbs Fine Chopped Fresh Cilantro
  • 1/2 Lemon
  • 2 Packages (8-10) In a pack. Corn Tortilla Shells
  • 4 cups Vegetable Oil

Take your 6 Roma Tomatoes and dice 1/4 inch put in a bowl
Add 1/2 Sweet Onion diced about 1/2 inch
Take your 6 jalapeno peppers diced 1/4 inch also ad them to your bowl.
Chop your fresh Cilantro about 2Tbs is what you will need to add to your bowl.
Take half of a lemon and squeeze that on top of all ingredients and mix. ( if you would prefer to puree your ingredients in a blender you can do that also.

Chips for the dipping.

On your stove take a deep pot add your vegetable oil and let it get hot.
Then take your Tortilla Shells and cut like a pizza slices, than drop in the oil and cook till golden brown. Drain on a paper towel.
There you go Chips and Salsa for your guests

  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Mustard
  • 3 tablespoons Honey

In a bowl mix mayonnaise, mustard and honey to taste.Go ahead and put a chill on it for about 20 minutes. Should resemble the picture to the right enjoy!
